Short Bio

I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Center for Research and Technology, Hellas (CERTH), where I am a member of the Multimedia Knowledge & Social Media Analytics Laboratory (MKLAB).

I hold a PhD in Artificial Intelligence (2011) from the Dept. of Informatics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. I also hold a BSc degree in Mathematics (2003) from the Dept. of Mathematics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MSc in Computer Studies (2004) from the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering at the University of Essex, United Kingdom.

My research interests involve Semantic Technologies, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, Non-Monotonic/Defeasible Reasoning and Information Visualization.
